Aside from the bedroom, most of us spend more time in the kitchen. This is where the family will converge during meal times, when entertaining, doing homework and of course, to prepare the food for the family. For all the things that we do in the kitchen, it is only right that it should be illuminated properly. There are two common mistakes in kitchen lighting; one is having way too much illumination and the second is too little light. The kitchen is indeed a difficult room to illuminate properly.  In areas where food preparation, reading or homework- making is done, task lighting is a must. Pendants  make a good task lighting fixture. It can be turned off when it is not needed anymore. Kitchen islands also require task lighting fixtures. (more…)
